What makes us so cool? Well, a lot of things, really — but it certainly doesn’t hurt that our showroom wows our guests with its warm lighting, high ceiling, and that famous canoe light that hangs above it all.
Speaking of that canoe, Erik and his wife, Leslie, bought it from a houseboat owner on the Willamette River in Portland and then brought it downriver to Vancouver. The canoe represents a central theme for ERJ — one that’s nautical (Erik’s a licensed ship captain) and a little irreverent. The canoe is the centerpiece not just of the store but of a branded campaign featuring wine, parties, and, naturally, canoe-themed jewelry.
